Some of my favorite memories growing up are the kinds of things that barely exist anymore... Little town events with big crowds. Neighbors visiting in the streets. Kids running around playing games they made up using their imagination. People selling things they made with their own hands. People catching up in real life, in real time. That’s part of what inspired Max Community Market. Not just shopping. Not just booths. A reason for people to get out of the house again.

Some of the best things are still made by hand. A quilt sewn at a kitchen table. Beef jerky made from a family recipe. Candles poured late at night after work. Old treasures pulled from a garage and given a second life. Paintings, jams, woodworking, crocheted dishcloths, metal signs, wildflower bouquets, and things you didn’t even know you needed until you spotted them sitting out on a folding table on a warm summer day.
